Family Reunification
Family Reunification
This procedure allows foreigners residing in Spain to bring their direct family members. The process consists of two phases:
1. The sponsor (the person already residing in Spain) initiates the procedure at the Immigration Office. They must have legally resided in Spain for at least one year and have authorization to reside for another year. Sufficient financial means must be demonstrated (a minimum of 150% of the IPREM for the first family member and 50% for each additional family member) and suitable housing must be provided.
2. Once the application is approved by the Immigration Office, the family member in the country of origin must apply for a visa at the Spanish Consulate. The documentation varies depending on the relationship (marriage certificate, birth certificate, etc.).
